Effects of Kilohertz Transcranial Magnetic Perturbation on Cortical Excitability

Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) modulates neural activity through the application of electrical or magnetic fields to a targeted region of the scalp. While many NIBS methods have proven to be useful in research and clinical treatments, each method presents its own limitations. The goal of this project is to test the efficacy of a new NIBS device known as Kilohertz Transcranial Magnetic Perturbation (kTMP) which has the potential to surpass key limitations present in standard NIBS methods. By analyzing the effects of kTMP on motor output or behavioral tasks, we can better understand the facilitatory or inhibitory capabilities of the device and its potential for clinical application.

Message To Sponsor

Donors, I am beyond grateful to have this special opportunity this summer. Because of your generosity, I am able to take instrumental steps in becoming a better researcher, gain knowledge at the forefront of cognitive science, and learn invaluable lessons along the way. Furthermore, because of your support for research into cutting edge technology, I have been granted the opportunity to do the most fulfilling thing: make the world a better place and impact the lives of others. I could not be more honored and appreciative. Thank you!
