Developing a Sustainable and Shared Prosperity Policy Index
How are countries performing when it comes to ensuring the well-being of both the people and the planet? Can they do better? Are the results truly sustainable?
The SSPI assembles data measuring country performance across 57 Policy Indicators, offering a comprehensive and data-driven perspective of socioeconomic, environmental, labor and various other key policies around the world. The SSPI groups these Policy Indicators into 16 distinct categories, each of which measures the performance of a package of related policies in a specific sector. Overall, the categories are grouped into three Pillars corresponding to the three core purposes of governments in the twenty-first century: protecting the planet (Sustainability), structuring markets (Market Structure), and providing Public Goods.
