Benefits of being a Haas Scholar:
- Individualized mentoring from UC Berkeley faculty
- A Fall seminar and Spring writing workshop that foster a supportive peer community, provide mechanisms for staff and faculty feedback, and help students stay on track with their projects
- An opportunity to present findings at a program-specific academic conference in January
- Assistance with graduate school and fellowship applications and career counseling
- Membership in an alumni community (540+ strong and growing each year!) that provides ongoing connections and support
- Up to $14,800 in financial support during your fellowship year:
- Disbursed in May:
- Up to $5,000 for your research expenses
- $6,000 for living expenses
- Disbursed in mid-August, as part of your financial aid package:
- $1800 living expenses stipend
- Disbursed in mid-January, as part of your financial aid package if you will be registered in Spring and working on your project:
