California Rapid Defense Project

The California Rapid Defense Project was formed in May 2025 by the Human Rights Center and affiliates to document how the Trump Administration was specifically targeting the State of California and its citizens. The team was formed to respond to the L.A. protest situation, and has since broadened into a wider documentation project that monitors how the Trump Administration – via lawsuits, military action, and rhetoric – is attempting to dismantle California’s progressive policies.
