Enhancing Emotional Regulation Through Cognitive Training
Emotion-related impulsivity and rumination are two patterns of dysregulation that increase vulnerability to mental health difficulties. This project uses computer-based tasks to strengthen emotional response inhibition and emotional working memory. The goal is to assess whether training these cognitive functions can reduce emotion-driven thoughts and behaviors. This summer, I will continue administering assessments, supporting the collection of data, and assisting with the data analysis process.
