Developing Tools to Study Fields within High Energy Plasmas

Proton Radiography captures protons deflecting off of high energy plasmas to visualize the electromagnetic fields within such extreme environments. Using nonlinear analytics like convolutional neural networks, we create tools to better understand the information hidden within these radiographs, capturing dynamics that can help us improve current efforts behind fusion energy and understanding the creation and behavior of magnetic fields within these hard to study systems.
